Hello Pal! I hope you are doing swell! Here is a pretty awesome story about one of our great adventures sooooo, sit back, relax, eat popcorn, breathe, maybe take a shower, order some fried chicken, and read on!
from now on, you must read in a British accent, no matter what, its a necessity
It was a beautiful sunny day, and Cousin Mongomery, Simba Mellark, Mr. Nugget, and Mirag were enjoying themselves as they splashed in puddles, ate bananas, and chewed on raw telephones on the shore of the Lake Michigan. It was very peaceful, and they were happily singing songs to their fellow crabs, when all of the sudden 7 children started running down towards the lake! Cousin Montgomery was so startled that she spat out her telephone, which quickly burrowed underneath the sand, happy to live a not-in-Cousin Montgomery's-mouth life, and ran up a dune. Simba Mellark, Mr. Nugget, and Mirag watched as the children splashed into the lake, screaming their little bitty heads off because the water was so cold. A few minutes passed and the children ran out of the water and collapsed (not dead but just cold) onto the sand, right below Cousin Montgomery's perch. Simba Mellark went up to check on Cousin Montgomery, because she was afraid the children may murder her, or leave her to the somewhat insane, slightly chewed, telephone. Cousin was not hurt, and was smiling as the children frolicked and played beneath her. But she was displeased to hear that they were swearing at times, and she wanted to let them know just how displeased she was, but she didn't want to shout at them without even greeting them, so she leaned over to Simba Mellark, and asked if she might ask them a question. "Why of course Cousin Montgomery, whatever you wish." Simba Mellark said. So Cousin Montgomery asked her to ask them if they liked fish! Simba Mellark was delighted, because she knew there was never a better question to ask than that. So she took in a deep breath and shouted, "DO YOU LIKE FISH?" Well, that got the children's attention, and they looked at them with such puzzled expressions that Simba Mellark thought they didn't understand the question, so she repeated herself.
"DO YOU LIKE FISH? THE LITTLE CREATURE THAT LIVES IN THE OCEAN? YOU LIKE?" The children rolled their eyes and shouted back,
"WE HEAR YOU!! WE DON'T LIKE FISH!" Simba Mellark was horrified, and she didn't want to talk anymore, but Mr. Nugget and Mirag had just joined them, and they started conversing with them.
(KEY: CH-children, CM- Cousin Montgomery, SM- Simba Mellark, MN-Mr. Nugget, M-Mirag, CK-all four pals)
CH: "What are your names?"
CM: "Well I'm Cousin Montgomery!"
SM: "I'm Simba Mellark!"
MN: "I'm Mr. Nugget!"
M: "And I'm Mirag!"
CH: "Why are your names so weird?"
CM: "Why do you think they're weird? They are perfectly normal to us!"
SM: "What are your names?"
(pardon my memory, but I do not recall these children's names)
CH: "Where are you from?"
SM: "We are from England!" (notice we were talking in British accents from the first question)
SM: "Wait no! We're from Hawaii" (we stopped talking in a British accent)
M: "Hawaii? No! We're from Alaska!"
CM: "We are from England!"
MN: "NO! We are from Alaska!"
CH: "Alaska? What is it like up there?"
MN: "We live in a cabin and hunt bears almost every day, and sometimes go swimming there, which is very, very cold."
CH: "So Lake Michigan must be like a hot tub for you guys!"
M: "Yes, its basically a hot tub!"
SM: "Where are you guys from?"
CH: "Chicago. We come to this campground every summer to do a friend reunion."
M: "Nice! We're visiting our Grandmother for a week, and we decided to come here."
CH: "Are you guys related?"
M: "We are basically cousins. Are you guys related?"
CH: "No, just family friends."
They kept up the conversation for a while, and finally Cousin Montgomery spoke her mind.
"Excuse me! Please stop swearing! We are EXTREMELY religious!"
After a couple more minutes, the four pals decided to head back to camp. They said goodbye to their now new friends and all (except Cousin Montgomery) popped their telephones back into their mouth and headed back to eat some shark teeth.
Well, there you have it! I hope you all stay happy, healthy, and safe!
~Simba Mellark
