Hello! Today is a special day for all those couples out there! Here at CK Café Studios we thought it would be such fun to have a Valentines Day special, because, of course this holiday only comes once a year, and how better to celebrate it then with an extremely cheesy tale of love. Here is the first chapter of a book that simba mellark wrote during quarantine. We hope you enjoy!
*disclaimer-- this is purposely very cheesy and not very well written- please no judgment-thanks*
"wow, are you gorgeous." Prince Derrick said, looking straight into princess Hilda's eyes.
"Why thank you!" She said, her blue eyes shining. It was the first time Derrick and Hilda had ever met, but they had immediately fallen in a love so deep, they almost couldn't bear it. Derick grasped Hilda's hand and walked her to the gardens.
" As you know, my father passed away recently, and I was wondering if maybe you would like to-" Derick was cut off by the sound of Hilda's scream. He had been looking dramatically into the distance, hoping Hilda would think it made him look stunning, or ravishing. He quickly turned around, just in time to see a man in black, toss Hilda on his horse, and ride off.
"Hilda!" Derick screamed, and ran after the horse. He soon realized that he had the fastest horses in the country, and he quickly made his way to the palace stables. As he leaped onto a horse, he commanded a stable worker to send fleets of knights after him, along with food for the journey. The stable worker nodded, and started running to the palace, and Derick rode off into the sunset.
Hilda coughed and sputtered as the man in black lifted her off his horse. They were in an alley behind a pub.
"You must listen to me" The man said, in a calm soothing voice.
"go into the pub, say that Benjamin Geder sent you. They should take you into a room, I'll meet you there."
Hilda nodded, heading into the pub. Whatever this man was doing, he hadn't killed her yet, so she thought she had best listen to him. As she made her way limping, since she had lost one of her shoes, she thought about Prince Derrick. He was so handsome and kind, she knew that if he asked her to, she would marry him. She had heard him saying something about his dead father, before she had been grabbed very violently by the man in black. When she had heard him call her name, she had almost cried with pure joy. Now, she realized, she missed him terribly. How long would it be until she could see him again? She didn't know, but she hoped it would be soon.
Benjamin waited outside the pub for Flavian. Why was he so late? He was just about to go in, when he heard someone shout his name.
"Benjamin, wait!" Benjamin looked behind him and saw his friend.
"What took you so long?" He asked.
"Sorry, there was some hold up on the road. It seems Prince Derrick is looking for Princess Hilda of Turnguard." Flavian said with a laugh.
" He had fleets of knights with him, and he looked worried. Little does he know that he won't be finding his lover for quite some time." Benjamin laughed with Flavian and clapped him on the back.
"Why don't we have a drink and check in with the Princess aye?" Flavian asked. Benjamin agreed, and the two friends headed into the pub.
Hilda sat waiting inside a dark and dusty room, waiting for the man in black. It had been at least 2 hours since she arrived, and she couldn't keep her mind off of Derrick. What was he doing now? Had he started looking for her yet? Of course he cared about her enough to look for her, right? She certainly cared for him enough.
The door to the room banged open, and the man in black, and another man with dark black hair and deep blue eyes stepped into the room. Hilda noticed that the man in Black's face was uncovered, revealing two green eyes, and short brown hair. Hilda was surprised to see that both men looked only a couple years older than herself. The black haired man definitely looked drunk. He wobbled on his feet, and had a bad case of hiccups. The man in black ,however, looked sober.
"Hello Princess Hilda, my name is Benjamin Geder, and this is my companion, Flavian." Benjamin gestured to the black haired man, Flavian, and as in surprise, he did a very jolty bow, almost falling over. Hilda curtsied and sat back down on the bed, exhausted. What was she doing in a pub with two random men, apparently being a captive? And where was Derrick?
Whelp, that was... interesting.
I hope you guys enjoyed it, even though it probably made you loose some braincells. heheh Anyway I hope you all had a wonderful Valentines day, single as a pringle, or not single as a not pringle.
