Once upon a time, in a land far away... By that I mean Manistique, Michigan, there, camped by Lake Michigan, were four wild souls. They were called Mirag, Ms Nuggit, Simba Mellark and cousin Montgomery. Each with happy faces, they trudged along Lake Michigan. They were ready to pick seashells and hunt for tigers in the depths of the great and glorious Lake Michigan. But just as they were about to dive in, a leaf landed on Mirag's nose.
"Well look at that!" Mirag cried, leaping up and down, frolicking in the warm sand and blowing kisses to the leaf. "There is probably a tiger right here, under our feet." The other brave and wild souls turned to look at her in awe.
"Why that makes perfect sense! We must dig up this filthy sand wall to find the great tiger that lay underneath," Simba Mellark replied. She immediately began to dig up the sand. Ms Nuggit and cousin Montgomery helped her right away.
"But did you ever think that the world was just a big flat tiger?" cousin Montgomery said thoughtfully, stroking the now much overgrown sand and scraping at the little ice cubes that lay there.
"But of course! That is the thought we thrive on, the thought that we know to be true!" Mrs Nuggit explained, throwing her hands up in the air and smacking cousin Montgomery's hands. The ice cubes in her hands dropped.
"Hey! Why would I know? I am new here!" cousin Montgomery defended herself.
"Excuse me, you started our quest!" Ms Nuggit exclaimed.
"Oh that's right, I did," cousin Montgomery said thoughtfully, stroking her chin in confusion. Then she began to play a game of cards.
"Hey, there's something here!" Simba Mellark cried aloud. Everyone turned to look at her and saw a large tree root sticking out of the sand.
"I dug it up!" Simba Mellark announced proudly.
"It's a tree root," Mirag said, annoyed.
"But I dug it up!" Simba Mellark said again.
"Quit yer yapping and hurry up!" Mirag said again, rather rudely.
So the four wild souls continued to dig up the sand. Finally, they reached a lot of water. After much complaining about what to do and much eating strange cheeses found in fridges under the sand, the four brave ones decided to throw a party. Their quest was to find a tiger, and obviously the tigers would be swimming in the water, so since they had reached water, it was time to rejoice.
The four leaped in the air, made homemade breadsticks, ate lots of cauliflower, and even baked a nice bunch of pumpkin-flavored lettuce pops.
After many hours of partying, it was getting dark. The four headed back to their camp, but as soon as they got there, they had a huge problem. Their tent was floating in the water. Why was it doing that? Stupid Tent, the four thought. But as they neared it, they saw a group of tigers in the lake, dragging the tent farther and farther away from them.
"NO!" Ms Nuggit cried, leaping into the air, then spiraling in a summersault and cartwheeling throught the air, landing on top of the tent, which was about several hundred feet away from the other brave and fearlessly wild souls. The tigers roared loudly, but one sounded like a rooster. That was strange...
The four souls knew that befriending the tigers would be hard, but if they could help this one tiger that sounded like a rooster crowing, the tigers might like them! Ms Nuggit zig-zagged gracefully, and as if leaping off of a porch and landing on a frog's head, she stuck her hand down the tiger's throat. It gagged and sputtered, but did nothing else. She sizzled her hand wigglyngly left and right, grasping at the tigers insides and such. Finally, she came upon her bounty.
Ms Nuggit pulled her hand out of the tiger's throat triumphantly, holding in her wet hand a nasty-coloured pinwheel! Just as she had thought, the tiger had swallowed one, and that was why his roar sounded like a rooster's crow.
The other four clapped joyously, but the tigers stayed looking solemn. Until, that is, the tiger Ms Nuggit had helped began coughing, then roaring, loudly, and sounding just as a mother tiger should when giving birth. They all rejoiced! Ms Nuggit cuddled the newborn tiger baby warmly, proud of what she had done to save this baby and its mother.
The other brave souls leaped and cartwheeled through the air just as Ms Nuggit had done, and landed on the tent. They rejoiced and cuddled the baby tiger as well, and all was well.
After that lovely experience, the four happy souls floated back on their tent with the help of the tigers. They camped near the water, drinking in the salty air happily, even though Lake Michigan is freshwater. That was because Mirag had poured salt all over their tent, hoping to make it smell like bad feelings for some reason.
Well, that's for today, folks! And thanks to Ms Nuggit, who saved the day!!!
